The Science for the People Revitalization Effort

Science for the People is needed now more than ever. The scientific issues around which Science for the People organized are still relevant today. Additionally, there are new scientifically contentious issues, such as synthetic biology, nanotechnology, privacy issues, climate change, genomics which need critical thought of the kind that Science for the People once supplied.

In the years since the 2014 conference, activists across the US and in Mexico have rebuilt the organization, which now has about a dozen active local chapters and numerous working groups that bring people in different locations to gether to work on specific issues. Please visit the website for this organizing effort at http://scienceforthepeople.org and check out the new magazine, which is carrying on where the old magazine left off at http://magazine.scienceforthepeople.org.
